A cruise on the waters of the Wellington Harbour is yet another exciting thing to do while in the city. A ferry service runs at regular intervals, and also visits other neighbouring islands such as Days Bay, Maitu Somes Island, Queens Wharf, Seatoun and Petone. You may hop off at any of the islands and roam the area to hop back on board again later on in the day.
A walking, cycling and jogging track by the name of Great Harbour Way lines the coast of the harbour and provides magnificent views. If one were to walk the entire stretch it would take you anything between 3 to 5 days, so be rest assured there is plenty of area to cover.
